How do I join the Academy Futbol Club? Players (U10-U18) must register online, attend an Academy tryout and if selected, pay the club membership fees through the club website.
What Memberships does the club offer to players? Players can join and participate in our Spring and Fall programs with organized indoor Winter league programs.
Does the club offer flexible payment plans for player fees? Yes. There is a registration fee due upon selection to the Academy in order to reserve the players spot on one of the competitive travel teams or the training academy. The remainder of the player fees shall be paid in installments during the season. Additionally, players can pay all membership fees due to the club in lump sum. There is discount offered to players who pay year round player fees in lump sum.
What do Club membership fees cover and not cover? Club fees include affiliation, coaching, select competition play and club administrative costs. Club uniforms are not included in membership fees.
Does the Academy offer competitive travel teams and on-travel programs? Yes. Players must attend an Academy tryout for travel and non-travel programs. Placement is determined by the Club’s.
Do club travel teams participate in league play? Currently, U15 and up travel teams are tournament teams only. The club is assessing area leagues to place U14 and under teams in the future.
We are interested in joining as a whole team; do you welcome complete teams including the coach? Yes, In-tact teams and players are welcome to the club. Coaches must be interviewed and approved before being accepted into the club. If interested, please contact the Club Administrator ([email protected]) to set up an appointment.
Can I guest play with another team as a member of the Academy Futbol Club? Yes. Players may guest play for another team as long as the player does not violate affiliation or league rules/policies. Additionally, once placed on an Academy travel team roster, the academy team is the priority. If an Academy player is a guest player for another team, there cannot be any conflicts with scheduled Academy activities (games, training, etc.) Academy Futbol Club activities comes first.
Can I train with the Academy without being placed on a formal team? Yes, at our coaching staffs discretion.
Does the Club support other organized soccer programs like High School, ODP and Super Y? Yes, the club strongly encourages continued personal growth through High School and other programs such as Super Y and ODP. Players must notify the Club’s Technical Director in any other soccer program to include High School.
When is training? Training location and time very based on County placement and season.
Are Tournament fees included? Yes. A set number of tournaments (11v11, small sided, and Futsal) will be included in the player fees.
Are League fees included? Yes. Any leagues that the Academy teams participate in will be included in the player fees.
What level of competition? State leagues, VYSA sanctioned tournament events, US Youth Futsal Regional and National Tournaments
Uniform included? No. The official Academy uniforms are a separate cost to the player in addition to the club fees. Please check out the uniforms on the club website www.academyfutbolclub.com Players participating in the Academy Training Program are required to purchase two Academy t-shirts that must be worn during all training activities sponsored by the club.
Am I on one team? Generally, players will compete on the team in which they have been placed on during tryouts. However, players will have the opportunity to train and compete with other Academy teams during the year based on individual player development and progress.
As an Academy player, can I receive volunteer hours by supporting the club? Yes. the club will provide opportunities for Academy players to earn volunteer hours in various ways, please check with the Club Administrator for further information.
How can I volunteer as a parent to support the club? Volunteers and our players are the most important asset in the club. It’s the volunteers and the players that makes the club work. Please contact our Club Administrative Officer if you’re interested in volunteering in any way. ([email protected])
